Luma Optics XFP modules 10Gb/s (XFP) transceivers are compliant with the current XFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) Specification. LumaOptics XFP comply with 10-Gigabit Ethernet 10GBASE-ZR/ZW per IEEE 802.3ae. Digital diagnostics functions are available via a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in the XFP MSA. The transceiver is RoHS compliant and lead free per Directive 2002/95/EC3 LumaOptics XFP modules typically operate at near-infrared wavelengths (colors) of 850 nm, 1310 nm or 1550 nm. Principal applications include 10 Gigabit Ethernet, 10 Gbit/s Fibre Channel,  OC-192 rates,  STM-64, 10 Gbit/s Optical Transport Network (OTN) OTU-2. LumaOptics XFP modules can operate over a single wavelength, BIDI, CWDM or DWDM.  LumaOptics XFP modules use an LC fiber connector type to achieve high density.
