BCC’s John Richard Rahn predicts changes in the use of  flow cytometry. The laser-based technique is used in an increasing number of bio-analysis applications.  He expects the industry to grow in importance to become a $6.3 billion industry by the end of the decade. He is predicting “significant changes” over the next five years as the technology establishes a growing base in biotechnology labs.   • Clearfield offers FieldSmart FxMP multi-purpose fiber panel
    Clearfield, Inc. (NASDAQ:CLFD) has unveiled the FieldSmart Fiber Crossover Multi-Purpose (FxMP) Patch Panel, a fiber distribution panel designed to enable a single unit to fit in multiple rack sizes and configurations. The FXMP enables network managers to use the same panel to route and deploy fiber jumpers throughout the network in both rack- and cabinet-style configurations.
  • ZTE back in business as Commerce technology ban suspended
    The U.S. Department of Commerce today announced it has suspended the ban it imposed on ZTE that denied the Chinese company access to U.S. technology. ZTE deposited $400 million in escrow in a U.S. bank, fulfilling the last of its financial obligations under the agreement reached June 7 through which ZTE would regain access to the technology essential to the construction and maintenance of many of its products. The company effectively shut down shortly after the ban was imposed April 16.
