  • Infinera touts 100-GBaud, 1024QAM transmission work

    Infinera asserts it has reached a pair of optical transmission milestones. The company says it has been able to leverage 100 GBaud modulation to deliver a 1-Tbps transmission rate. It also says it has achieved 1024QAM transmission. Infinera reported both results at ECOC 2017 in Gothenburg, Sweden last month.

(NYSE: CTL) to supply the Brazos Valley Council of Governments) BVCOG) with a new private network to close the digital divide between rural and metropolitan areas. The network will support 911 emergency response, workforce development, public safety initiatives, and other government organizations.
